Answer:
Large Endolymphatic Duct and Sac Syndrome(LEDS) OR Large Vestibular Aqueduct Syndrome(LVAS)
Findings:
There is Bilateral Enlargement of the Endolymphatic sacs with increased volumes in this 3D SPACE Image.
Discussion:
Large vestibular aqueduct syndrome, or enlarged endolymphatic duct (EED) and sac (EES) syndrome is an inner ear malformation that manifests as progressive sensorineural hearing loss in early infancy or childhood. An unique feature is that the deafness is triggered by minor head trauma. Vestibular Aqueduct is the Bony canal housing the endolymphatic duct and sac . Duct continues into a blind ended sac which expands under the dura mater in posterior surface of petrous bone. It is considered Enlarged if >1.5mm or larger than adjacent posterior semicircular canal.
